About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist based in Bengaluru. The Optometrist will perform vision assessments to diagnose refractive errors or other visual conditions and prescribe corrective lenses or treatments accordingly. The role also involves providing advice on eye care and educating customers about the suitable eyewear and lens options. The Optometrist will work as part of a team to deliver exceptional and personalized customer care in a retail environment.
What you'll do:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect refractive errors
- Diagnose visual conditions and recommend appropriate corrective solutions
- Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses based on individual customer needs
- Educate customers on eye health, lens options, frame suitability, and proper eye care
- Ensure accurate eye testing, prescriptions, and documentation as per standards
- Work closely with sales and store teams to deliver a seamless, premium customer experience
- Maintain hygiene, calibration, and proper usage of optometry equipment
- Adhere to professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and brand service standards
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Optometry or a related field
- Registered Optometrist with a valid license to practice in India
- Proven experience in eye examinations and prescribing glasses/contact lenses
- Strong understanding of eye anatomy, vision care, and optical practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient education
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, premium retail environment
