Job Description

We are seeking an Optometric Assistant to manage the marketing and sales of eyewear and provide direct patient support. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of optometry and lenses and will be responsible for assisting patients with frame selection, instructing them on the use and care of their eyewear, and performing repairs and adjustments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Sales and Patient Assistance:
  • Market and sell eyeglasses in the hospital store/outlet.
  • Assist patients with frame selection to meet their needs.
  • Patient Education and Support:
  • Instruct patients on the proper care and use of their glasses or contact lenses.
  • Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed.
  • Modify contact lenses.
  • Administrative:
  • Maintain accurate records in the system.

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of optometry and lenses.
  • Experience in sales and marketing, preferably within a retail or medical setting.
  • The ability to assist and instruct patients with care and use of eyewear.
  • Skills in adjusting and repairing glasses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
