Job Description
lWe're seeking a highly skilled Optimization Scientist with a Ph.D. or Master's in Mathematics and 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing and logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations research, optimization techniques, and data analysis, with a focus on improving supply chain efficiency and reducing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement mathematical models and algorithms to optimize complex business processes in manufacturing and logistics, such as production planning, inventory management, and transportation optimization
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing and logistics operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business impact and implement optimization solutions
- Work with optimization tools like Gurobi, CPLEX, or Pyomo to solve complex optimization problems in manufacturing and logistics
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or Master's in Mathematics
- 3+ years of relevant experience in optimization, operations research, or a related field, with a focus on manufacturing and logistics
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or MATLAB
- Experience with optimization software/libraries like Gurobi, CPLEX, Pyomo, or similar
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools like Pandas, NumPy, or Matplotlib
- Experience with manufacturing and logistics concepts, such as supply chain management, production planning, and inventory control
