Job Title: OPT Recruiter – US IT Staffing (2–4 Years Experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented OPT Recruiter to join our talent acquisition team. The OPT Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing international students (primarily on OPT/CPT visas) in suitable job opportunities across various industries. This role requires strong communication skills, relationship-building ability, and a basic understanding of U.S. work authorization processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source candidates on OPT/CPT visas through job portals, social media, referrals, and university networks for US-based IT requirements (W2/1099/C2C roles)
- Screen, shortlist, and evaluate candidates based on technical skills, visa status, and communication
- Educate candidates about job market trends, resume preparation, and interview techniques.
- Work on a high volume of IT requirements from direct clients and implementation partners
- Maintain and update candidate databases and tracking systems
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and clients
- Ensure compliance with US staffing processes and visa regulations (OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, H1B basics)
- Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process and onboarding
Required Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in US IT staffing, specifically working with OPT/CPT candidates
- Strong understanding of US recruitment cycle and tax terms (W2, C2C, 1099)
- Hands-on experience with job portals like Dice, Monster, Indeed, LinkedIn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
