We are seeking a passionate and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in India. This role is ideal for freshers or entry-level candidates looking to kickstart their careers in IT support. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our users, ensuring their desktop systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues related to networked devices.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new workstations and peripherals.
- Document and track support requests using ticketing systems.
- Educate users on best practices for system usage and security.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to resolve complex issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on desktop systems.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of remote support tools and techniques.
