This is a fulltime, onsite Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon role covering a rotational practice model across multiple Mumbai centres (Chembur | Vashi | Seawoods). Primary Job Title: Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical and surgical retina care across designated Mumbai centres, managing high outpatient and surgical volumes with consistent quality outcomes.
- Perform posteriorsegment surgeries including pars plana vitrectomy, retinal detachment repair, macular surgery and combined phacovitrectomy when indicated.
- Deliver officebased retinal treatments such as intravitreal injections and laser therapy; interpret OCT, fluorescein angiography and other imaging to guide management.
- Lead and expand the vitreoretinal service line: develop clinical protocols, optimise surgical workflows, and strengthen the local referral network.
- Mentor and supervise junior surgeons and clinical staff; contribute to training, case reviews and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure documentation, patient safety, informed consent, perioperative care standards and adherence to institutional clinical governance.

Qualifications
- Fellowship in Vitreoretina from a reputed institute
- Minimum 2 years of independent postfellowship surgical experience

- Scleral buckling techniques
- Experience with phacovitrectomy workflows
