Role Description

The Operations Trainee - Para Broker Support will assist in managing and supporting daily back-office tasks specific to the mortgage broking industry. Responsibilities include reviewing and processing loan applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, preparing documentation, and assisting brokers in delivering timely and accurate solutions for clients. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are key. This is a full-time, on-site role based in India.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Processing Support

  • Collect, organize, and verify client documents for loan file setup.
  • Assist in product research and comparison across lender panels.
  • Prepare submission-ready loan packages with all required documentation.
  • Conduct basic responsible lending and compliance checks before file lodgment.

Serviceability Analysis

  • Run borrowing capacity calculations using lender-specific serviceability calculators.
  • Assist in HEM and living expense assessments for accurate client profiling.
  • Prepare serviceability reports and servicing calculator outputs for broker review.

Loan Components

  • Support LMI assessment and calculation for applicable loan files.
  • Coordinate valuation ordering and track progress to settlement.
  • Assist with discharge and refinance coordination under supervision.

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate data entry and file records inside the aggregator CRM.
  • Track pipeline status, task updates, and workflow progress.
  • Ensure all files remain organised, up to date, and audit-ready at all times.

Compliance Support

  • Complete pre-lodgement compliance checklists for every file.
  • Assist in preparing responsible lending documentation.
  • Flag policy gaps and escalate compliance issues to senior team members.
  • Support file audit and review processes as required.

Who Should Apply:

  • Graduate in B.Com/BBA/BA/Economics/Finance or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge of mortgage broking, aggregator compliance processes, and loan application practices.
  • Basic financial calculations and data entry proficiency.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities with fluency in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regulated environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
