Role Objective
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring Railingo actually delivers what Sales promises across:
- Franchise operations
- Dealer & channel execution
- Order-to-delivery lifecycle
- Internal coordination (sales, accounts, logistics, factory)
- Process discipline, compliance, and accountability
Role Scope
The Operations Manager owns 5 interconnected layers:
- Franchise Operations (primary focus)
- Dealer & Channel Operations
- Order, Inventory & Dispatch Coordination
- Internal Process & Compliance
- MIS, Reviews & Escalations
Key Responsibilities
A. Franchise Operations (Core Focus)
1. Franchise Acquisition Support
- Act as the operations owner during franchise closures
- Coordinate with:
- Franchise India
- Sales leadership
- Prospective partners
- Ensure franchise prospects clearly understand:
- 25L investment structure
- Payment milestones
- Operational responsibilities
- Sales & performance expectations
- Attend franchise expos, events, and partner meetings
B. Franchise Onboarding & Go-Live
- Own end-to-end onboarding, including:
- Agreement execution
- KYC & documentation
- Security deposit tracking
- System & CRM setup
- Ensure 100% compliance before go-live
- Coordinate showroom readiness, branding, and operational setup
C. Franchise Performance & Revenue Accountability
- Track franchise performance using:
- MIS dashboards
- Sales & order reports
- Payment & inventory movement
- Enforce:
- Monthly sales targets
- Payment discipline
- Operational SOPs
- Schedule:
- Monthly performance reviews
- Corrective action calls
- Actively intervene when:
- Sales dip
- Stock stagnates
- Payments delay
D. Dealer & Channel Operations
- Act as ops SPOC for:
- Dealers
- Channel partners
- Ensure:
- Smooth order processing
- Correct pricing & documentation
- Timely dispatch & delivery
- Enforce dealer agreement terms operationally
- Coordinate audits, checks, and compliance when required
E. Order, Inventory & Dispatch Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Accounts (billing, payments)
- Factory/vendors (production status)
- Logistics (dispatch, tracking)
- Track each order from:
- PO Advance Production Dispatch Delivery
- Flag risks early:
- Delays
- Payment gaps
- Inventory mismatches
- Ensure zero confusion between Sales promise and Ops reality
F. Internal Process, SOPs & Compliance
- Implement and enforce:
- Franchise SOPs
- Dealer SOPs
- Order processing workflows
- Maintain operational documentation discipline
- Act as an internal escalation point for ops failures
G. MIS, Reporting & Escalations
- Maintain structured MIS covering:
- Franchise performance
- Dealer performance
- Order status
- Payments & ageing
- Share:
- Weekly ops reports
- Monthly performance summaries
- Escalate issues before they become fires
Required Background & Skills
Mandatory
- 58 years of experience in:
- Operations
- Franchise/channel management
- B2B sales operations
- Experience in organized corporate environments
- Strong coordination across multiple departments
- Excellent English & Hindi (spoken + written)
- Willingness to travel extensively
Strongly Preferred
- Exposure to construction / architectural / building material businesses
- Experience managing franchise or dealer networks
- Strong MIS & Excel discipline
