Job Title: Operations Manager

About the Project:

The Government-funded project focuses on the development and demonstration of drone and allied technologies. The project involves collaboration between research teams, technical experts, administrative staff, and external stakeholders. The operations Manager will support the smooth execution of day-to-day operational

activities, assist in laboratory management, administrative coordination, resource planning, and ensure efficient functioning of project infrastructure and facilities.The Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day operations, administrative coordination, resource planning, and efficient functioning of project infrastructure and activities.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ph.D. with relevant experience OR
  • MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience OR
  • BTech / BE / MBA/ MSc or equivalent degree with relevant experience

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong experience in project administration, operations management, and coordination of large-scale projects
  • Experience in stakeholder management involving government bodies, academic institutions, vendors, and technical teams
  • Proven experience in drafting and executing MoUs, NDAs, SLAs, and contractual agreements
  • Experience in project budgeting, financial planning, fund allocation, and financial reporting
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and multi-institutional collaborations
  • Experience in project outreach, industry engagement, and funding coordination
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to handle complex workflows
  • Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in documentation management, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Ability to organize workshops, training programs, and review meetings
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Experience in Drone / UAV industry will be an added advantage

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of project execution, with the ability to independently drive initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring accountability beyond coordination activities
  • Oversee day-to-day project operations and administrative activities to ensure smooth functioning
  • Coordinate with technical teams, researchers, institute departments, and stakeholders for seamless execution
  • Act as the primary point of contact between faculty, funding agencies, and external partners
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking to ensure timely delivery
  • Manage project finances, including budgeting, fund allocation, expense tracking, and financial closure
  • Identify process improvements and cost optimization opportunities across project activities
  • Monitor and mitigate operational risks impacting project deliverables
  • Handle procurement, vendor coordination, infrastructure management, and ensure compliance and audit readiness
  • Organize meetings, workshops, training programs, outreach activities, while supporting documentation, and overall coordination
  • Any other work assigned as per project requirement
