Job Description


About the Role

Lead end-to-end execution for all interior fit-out projects across Hyderabad. Own timelines, quality, cost, and client satisfaction while building scalable systems to handle 20+ simultaneous residential/commercial sites.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution
  • Drive project schedules from kickoff to handover
  • Allocate site teams, approve work plans, and ensure projects finish within committed timelines and budgets
  • Team Leadership
  • Manage a team of 15-40 including project managers, site supervisors, procurement, and QC executives
  • Hiring, training, and performance management
  • Process & Systems
  • Build SOPs for site execution, snagging, material flow, and vendor management
  • Implement ERP/project management tools like Zoho, Trello, or Asana for real-time tracking
  • Quality & Safety
  • Define quality benchmarks for carpentry, civil, electrical, and finishing works
  • Conduct audits and ensure zero-compromise on safety compliance at all sites
  • Cost Control
  • Review BOQs, approve budgets, and monitor project-wise P&L
  • Target 12-18% gross margin through efficient labor + material management
  • Vendor & Contractor Network
  • Empanel and rate contractors, carpenters, and specialized agencies
  • Negotiate annual rate contracts and ensure availability during peak seasons
  • Client Management
  • Act as escalation point for major clients
  • Conduct weekly reviews, manage expectations, and ensure NPS/CSAT > 4.5/5
  • Procurement Oversight
  • Guide procurement team on bulk deals, alternate materials, and inventory planning
  • Approve POs above set value thresholds
  • Reporting & MIS
  • Present monthly dashboards to founders/directors on revenue booked, delays, margin leakage, team productivity, and customer escalations

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in interior fit-out/construction operations with at least 3 years managing multiple projects/teams
  • Education: B.Tech Civil / Architecture / Interior Design / MBA Ops preferred. PMP certification is a plus
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of modular furniture, site execution sequence, material lead times, and Hyderabad vendor ecosystem

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership, P&L ownership, negotiation, AutoCAD/BOQ reading, Excel, and ERP tools

Preferred Skills

  • Decision-making under pressure, conflict resolution, and client-facing communication in English/Telugu/Hindi
  • Must be mobile across Hyderabad sites. Own vehicle preferred
