Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the club's sporting, commercial, and event activities. This role oversees match-day and training logistics, including venue coordination, travel and accommodation planning, equipment management, and scheduling with coaching and support staff. The Operations Manager coordinates with league officials, vendors, partners, and internal departments to ensure compliance with PVL regulations and timely execution of all operational plans. They will manage budgets, track operational expenses, and streamline processes to improve efficiency and consistency across seasons. The role also supports fan engagement initiatives, grassroots events, and academy programs by aligning operational resources with organizational goals and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in sports, entertainment, or events, with strong skills in planning, organizing, and execution.
- Demonstrated ability in stakeholder coordination, including vendors, league officials, facility managers, and internal teams.
- Strong budgeting, resource allocation, and basic financial tracking skills to manage operational costs and timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, schedules, and operational documentation.
- Experience in event operations, match-day or tournament management, including logistics, on-ground coordination, and risk management.
- Comfort with using productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, project management, and collaboration software) to track tasks and workflows.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, including evenings, weekends, and travel during the season as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business, Operations, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Knowledge of volleyball or other team sports operations is an advantage, along with a strong interest in sports and fan
