Role Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and data-driven Fleet Operations Manager to oversee vehicles. This role is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of fleet movements, driver welfare, and compliance. The ideal candidate must possess advanced analytical skills and be an expert in Microsoft Excel to track operational costs and performance metrics effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fuel & Resource Management

• Monitor and manage the re-fuelling process for vehicles to ensure zero downtime.
• Implement fuel consumption tracking and identify discrepancies or inefficiencies through data analysis.
• Coordinate with fuel vendors and manage digital fuel card systems or account reconciliations.

2. Financial Administration (Wayside & Salary)

• Oversee Wayside expenses (on-road contingencies, tolls, and driver allowances).
• Manage driver payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, and performance bonuses.
• Maintain precise digital records of all operational disbursements for audit purposes.

3. Route Optimization &Planning

• Develop and execute efficient route plans to maximize vehicle utilization and minimize transit time.
• Adjust routing strategies based on real-time factors such as traffic, weather, or delivery priority.
• Utilize GPS tracking data to validate route adherence and optimize future planning.

4. Compliance& Documentation (TMC Preparation)

• Maintain comprehensive Truck movement Chart (TMC) reports and documentation for every vehicle.
• Ensure all vehicles are compliant with local transport regulations, insurance, and fitness certifications.
• Prepare periodic management reports highlighting fleet health and regulatory status.

5. Driver & Stakeholder Management

• Directly manage the driver workforce, including recruitment, training, and performance monitoring.
• Act as the primary liaison between internal departments (Sales/Ops) and external stakeholders (Clients/Vendors).
• Ensure Placement accuracy - matching the right vehicle and driver to specific assignments to meet client SLAs.

Good To Have

• Prior experience in fleet management or Cold logistics operations.
• Understanding of vehicle maintenance cycles and documentation.
• Proven track record of managing driver teams effectively.
