Job Title: Operations Executive - Planning & Procurement
Location: Ahmedabad
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Planning & Procurement Operations Executive to support demand planning, inventory management, and procurement operations. The role will play a critical part in ensuring seamless material availability, optimal inventory levels, and efficient vendor coordination to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand & Supply Planning
- Assist in demand forecasting based on sales trends, historical data, and business inputs
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to align supply plans with demand
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment
- Procurement Operations
- Raise purchase orders and ensure timely processing and approvals
- Coordinate with vendors for order confirmation, dispatch, and delivery timelines
- Track procurement status and ensure on-time availability of materials
- Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory
- Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory and recommend actions
- Ensure accurate inventory records in the system
- Vendor Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors
- Support vendor onboarding and documentation
- Track vendor performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery
- Coordination & Execution
- Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and production teams
- Ensure smooth inward and outward material movement
- Resolve any supply chain disruptions proactively
- MIS & Reporting
- Prepare regular reports on inventory, procurement status, and planning metrics
- Maintain data accuracy in ERP systems
- Provide insights to improve planning and procurement efficiency
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in planning, procurement, or supply chain operations
- Experience in FMCG / Retail industry preferred
