Project Role Description : Support the operations and/or manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreement.

Summary:

As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreements. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless service delivery, monitoring system performance, and addressing any operational challenges that arise. You will engage in proactive problem-solving and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, ensuring that all systems function optimally and meet the needs of the organization and its clients.

VMware Virtualization L3 Administrator

Key Responsibilities: -

Manage, maintain & Troubleshoot ESXI, Virtual Center & Other VMware datacenter solutions like NSX-T, vSAN in the environment.

VMware administrators create and install, manage and configure IT infrastructure solutions, including hardware, servers, and virtual machines, using a VMware environment such as vSphere. Coordination with vendor in Hardware and Software solution troubleshooting.

VMware administrators must monitor client systems daily and detect problem areas. They proactively design and install application updates, versions, and patches based on release by vendors. In addition to that they also update drivers, servers, and firmware and keep the environment hardened and secured

To support customers around the clock, VMware administrators can be available at irregular hours. They must respond promptly to customer reported issues, Resolve and address user requests, conduct a root cause analysis, and go through various test scenarios for a complete resolution.

VMware administrators are heavily involved in planning the customer's infrastructure. This involves gathering data from the system, finding possible solutions, developing and presenting design ideas, and carefully evaluating the suggestions of others. Additionally, they assess industry trends and help implement standards and best practices. Engage in such meetings with the Service Owners and Vendors.

VMware Administrators must create and maintain documentation for all system-related processes and procedures they are responsible for, including project requirements, changes and upgrades, implementation plans, and support tickets.

ESX performance monitoring, Sending regular performance and other required reports to the Client on regular basis.

Performing and driving the DR drills, using SRM and vSphere replication.

Having good knowledge on VXRAIL Environment

Technical Experience: -

On call support is required for troubleshooting or pre-planned maintenance on production systems

Position requires an in-depth understanding of VMware technologies, including vSphere/ESX, VMware View, vCenter, Site Recovery Manager, NSX-T running in enterprise environments

Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network topologies

Understand Enterprise Operations Process, ITIL v.2

At least seven 3 years of in-depth troubleshooting & administering VMware virtualization datacenter environments.

Good understanding of Storage SAN switches and NAS.

Good hands-on experience on Linux, Shell scripting will be an added advantage.

Good understanding of basics network fundamentals.

Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision

Flexible to work in 24/7 shift

Must be a team player & capable of upscale and take initiative to deliver the task independently.

Educational Qualification: -

Bachelor s degree

VCP Certification.

ITIL V3/V4 Foundation certified

Preferred To Have Knowledge/certification On Any Cloud Technologies.

Additional Information:
