Operations Associate

What you'll do

You will process purchase orders and sales orders into the distributor's ERP the same day they land, chasing down the missing PO number or wrong quantity before it becomes next week's dispute. You will update stock and dispatch records as goods move between the two warehouses, and keep a running log of what's been billed against what's been delivered. You will call suppliers for order confirmations and delivery dates, and pass along anything that needs the operations manager's attention rather than sitting on it. You will help pull together the weekly numbers - orders processed, stock variances, pending dispatches - into a sheet the manager actually opens.

Who you'll be joining

This is a mid-sized distributor of industrial supplies serving customers across three states, hiring its next operations associate through Flexiple, the managed marketplace that helps companies build teams in India.

You're early in your career - 0 to 3 years in - and you're the kind of person who double-checks a number before sending it. You've used Excel or a similar tool enough to be fast in it, you write emails that get straight to the point, and you don't mind the parts of the job that are genuinely repetitive, because you know that's where accuracy actually gets tested. A commerce or business background helps but isn't required; what matters more is that you follow through on the small things.
