Role Overview
The Operations & Analytics Intern will work closely with the Operations Lead to support the operational and reporting infrastructure of the admissions/sales team. The role will involve working with business data, operational trackers, CRM systems, and telephony platforms to ensure smooth lead management, accurate reporting, and operational efficiency.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to sales operations, performance analytics, CRM workflows, and incentive tracking, and is ideal for candidates interested in understanding how data and operations drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Business Analytics
- Create and maintain basic operational reports and dashboards to track pipeline activity, lead movement, and team performance.
- Assist in compiling data for daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews.
- Support the Operations Lead in data collation, analysis, and preparation of business reports for leadership discussions.
- Maintain trackers that monitor key operational metrics such as lead response times, conversions, and counselor activity.
Lead Flow & Allocation Management
- Assist in managing the distribution of incoming leads across the admissions/sales team based on defined allocation frameworks.
- Track lead flow across the funnel and flag allocation delays or workflow gaps.
- Maintain lead allocation trackers to ensure fair and efficient distribution of opportunities across the team.
CRM & Telephony System Management
- Maintain data accuracy and hygiene within the CRM system, ensuring proper tagging, lead stage updates, and record maintenance.
- Monitor telephony system logs to ensure calls are correctly captured and mapped to CRM records.
- Identify and flag duplicate leads, missing activity logs, or incorrect pipeline updates.
Incentive & Performance Tracking
- Assist in collating performance data used for incentive calculations.
- Maintain incentive trackers and preliminary payout calculations based on defined incentive structures.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used for performance evaluation and compensation reporting.
Operational Support & Process Improvement
- Support the Operations Lead in maintaining operational trackers, process documentation, and workflow updates.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes or operational efficiency.
- Help coordinate operational follow-ups and ensure timely updates across systems and trackers.
Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and data organization).
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Interest in business operations, analytics, or sales operations.
- Basic familiarity with CRM systems, databases, or reporting tools is a plus.
- Ability to work in a structured, data-driven environment.
