Title: Operational Buyer (Indirect)

In this role, you will support the efficient sourcing of indirect goods and services, helping Lonza maintain continuity of supply across multiple sites. You will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure compliant, timely purchasing that supports our life sciences mission.

What You Will Do
- Review and validate purchase requisitions and approval workflows for indirect goods, services, and CAPEX where applicable.
- Create and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers to ensure policy compliance.
- Confirm orders and follow up with suppliers to support on-time delivery across sites.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues to strategic buyers or category managers.
- Promote the use of approved digital purchasing tools to improve efficiency and automation.
- Provide first-level support for procurement, system, and invoice-related queries.
- Redirect requisitions based on agreed sourcing strategies and guidance.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in indirect procurement, purchasing , or supply chain operations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting several stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and suppliers.
- Experience using procurement or purchasing systems; training can be provided where needed.
- Attention to detail and commitment to following policies and processes.
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on service and continuous improvement.
