Job SummaryThe Operations Executive Cold Chain is responsible for managing day-to-day cold chain operations, ensuring temperature-controlled storage and transportation of products as per quality and safety standards. The role focuses on operational efficiency, compliance, coordination with vendors, and minimizing losses.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage cold storage and refrigerated transportation operations
- Ensure temperature compliance during storage, loading, unloading, and transit
- Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, transporters, and vendors
- Maintain daily operation reports, temperature logs, and dispatch records
- Handle vehicle scheduling, route planning, and delivery timelines
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, GDP, and food/pharma safety standards
- Identify operational issues and take corrective/preventive actions
- Reduce wastage, spoilage, and transit losses
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for refrigeration units and vehicles
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance documentation
- Handle customer coordination for dispatches and delivery updates
Skills & Competencies- Knowledge of cold chain logistics and temperature-controlled supply chain
- Understanding of reefer vehicles, cold storage operations, and monitoring systems
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, reports, and documentation
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to work under pressure and in shift operations
Educational Qualification- Graduate / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
- Cold chain or logistics certification is an added advantage
Experience- 14 years of experience in cold chain, logistics, warehouse, or transport operations
- Experience in pharma, dairy, frozen food, or FMCG preferred
