About the opportunity

We are seeking a skilled OPA (Oracle Policy Automation) Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in OPA Rules Engine. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technical teams, translating complex policy requirements into scalable rule-based solutions while ensuring smooth implementation, support, and optimization of OPA functionalities.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business rules using OPA Rules Engine and Oracle Policy Modeling (OPM).
• Perform end-to-end OPA implementation and release management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze policy requirements and translate them into rule logic.
• Configure and deploy OPA hubs, web determinations, and integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to rules execution, performance, and system configuration.
• Manage rulebase versioning, deployments, and migration across environments (Dev/UAT/Prod).
• Conduct testing (unit, integration, UAT) to ensure accuracy and compliance with business rules.
• Provide functional and technical support for OPA applications in production.
• Document solution design, rule logic, and operational procedures.
• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.
• Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
• Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimally 1 year of experience as an OPA Techno-Functional Consultant / Developer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Policy Modeling (OPM), OPA Rules Engine development
• Good understanding of rule-based systems and decision automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in professional services/consulting industry
• Excellent stakeholder communication and requirement gathering abilities.

Ideally, you'll also have

• Exposure to cloud deployments (OCI, AWS, Azure) for OPA/OIA.
• Familiarity with Java/.NET-based integrations.
• Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.
• Techno-functional expertise in decision automation
• Strong business rule modeling and analytical thinking
• Excellent Stakeholder management & communication
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in cross-functional environments
• Consulting/Professional Services experience
