Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for an Online Coding Tutor. The Online Coding Tutor will be responsible for teaching coding courses to students, ensuring interactive and personalized learning experiences. The role involves explaining complex coding concepts in an age-appropriate manner, giving constructive feedback, and guiding students through hands-on projects. Tutors will also track student progress and maintain a positive and motivating learning environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Scratch, Web Development
• Strong teaching and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Experience in working with children aged 5 to 17 in an educational or mentorship capacity
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learning needs
• Familiarity with remote teaching tools, such as Zoom and online coding platforms
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping young learners develop a love for coding
• Previous teaching experience, especially in coding, is a plus
• A degree or relevant coursework in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous
