OMP Solution Architect, requiring both functional and technical expertise to drive efficient end-to-end supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Functional & Implementation Duties:
- Collaborate with clients to design, develop, and test supply chain solutions using OMP, assisting with implementation and deployment across business units
- Analyze clients business requirements, identify pain points, and recommend OMP-based solutions for demand and supply planning
- Configure OMP components including Customer Layer, Project Layer, and Control Tables to enable effective planning analytics
- Participate in drafting business blueprints, creating global templates, and guiding strategic supply chain initiatives
- Develop user manuals, provide training, and support clients during adoption of OMP functionalities
- Conduct estimates for complex work, manage resources, and ensure adherence to quality standards during project delivery
- Collaborate cross-functionally including vendors, stakeholders, and internal consulting teams to execute solutions effectively.
- Creating and managing the testing plan and scripts for the OMP Opr applications and its interfaces.
- Testing the functionality delivered by the OMP development teams.
- Developing test scripts for all assigned tests.
- Making small developments in OMP by configuring the UI/UX (look and feel) and customizing the tool to meet end-user requirements.
- Assisting users in understanding the tool's behavior.
- Providing support during UAT testing and go-live phases.
- Supporting training efforts by conducting demos in OMP.
Technical & Analytical Duties:
- Expertly configure OMP solutions including Solvers, OPAL, and integration with SAP ERP or SAP APO where required
- Create dashboards, workbooks, and task flows to provide actionable insights and enable operational efficiency
- Conduct testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Utilize analytical tools to assess performance, optimize supply chain flows, and leverage best practices for reusable components
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Background: MBA or Master's in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management; engineering degrees are also acceptable
Experience: Typically, 4-10 years in supply chain roles with hands-on OMP implementation or configuration experience; experience in demand-supply planning projects is preferred
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of OMP architecture and functionalities; SAP experience is desirable; familiarity with databases and application integration
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, analytical thinking, interpersonal and cross-cultural skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively
