Job Description

The Autism Clinic is a Mumbai-based clinic that provides evidence-based and developmentally appropriate ABA services to children with Autism between 2-10 years of age. Our naturalistic approach is child-led and motivation-driven, empowering each child with the tools required for communication, social engagement, and independence.

We are currently seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our ABA team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who will be instrumental in setting up an OT practice as part of a growing ABA practice. We believe that a collaborative, inter-disciplinary approach, under one roof will benefit our learners by providing a more consistent & comprehensive service model. The right candidate must not only possess a genuine passion for working with children but also align with our long term vision of professional and company growth.

Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for an Occupational Therapist at The Autism Clinic.

Clinical Responsibilities include:

  1. Evaluating the learner's progress, & reviewing medical history
  2. Conduct one on one and/or small group sessions with children
  3. Collect & analyze data to evaluate and monitor the child's progress.
  4. Make data-based decisions to treatment plans on an on-going basis.
  5. Collaborate with ABA team on an on-going basis
  6. Participate in discussions to update the child's IEP with ABA team as well as parents.
  7. Staff and parent training on OT relevant topics

Business Development Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with TAC in outlining a business development plan to develop an independent OT unit within TAC.
  2. Recruit, mentor and maintain a team of up to 3-4 OT's
  3. Supervise OT caseload of TAC

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with a valid license to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum 1- year experience of working with children with Autism
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy interventions and techniques for children with Autism
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with learners, their families, and clinic staff
  • Proficiency in spoken English and Hindi, and written English skills.
