Infant Care & Classroom Support
- Maintain reports and records for every infant in the class.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and minimize wastage.
- Enhance the infant care classroom with age-appropriate displays, learning resources, and engaging activities.
- Implement lesson plans effectively to keep infants constructively occupied throughout the day.
- Attend to infants basic needs such as feeding, diaper changing, and hygiene before and after meals.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments of infants to monitor development.
Health & Safety
- Provide onsite assessment and first aid for sick or injured infants.
- Ensure the overall health, safety, hygiene, and security of infants, teaching, and non-teaching staff.
- Monitor the centre for health issues and cleanliness.
- Record incidents in the ouch/accident report and ensure the Centre Director's review before sharing with parents.
Parent Interaction
- Communicate with parents regarding child development and any special requirements on a need basis.
Professional & Individual Responsibilities
- Remain calm in emergency situations and respond promptly.
- Demonstrate professional behavior while interacting with staff, colleagues, and parents.
- Guide colleagues in times of doubt and assist in decision-making.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, events, and celebrations.
- Serve as a role model for children and staff in punctuality, responsibility, and professional conduct.
Qualification and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing (compulsory).
- Minimum 2 years of paediatric nursing experience.
- Work timings: 9 AM 6 PM / 10 AM 7 PM.
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of early child development milestones and related practices.
- Basic computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel for maintaining student records.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including report writing.
- Creativity and storytelling skills.
