We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team, providing comprehensive and specialized bedside care to critically ill patients within our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU). The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties that ensure the highest standards of patient safety and well-being in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Patient Care and Monitoring: Provide comprehensive bedside care, including but not limited to, continuous patient assessment, maintaining patient hygiene, and offering emotional support to both patients and their families. This role requires meticulous monitoring of patient vitals, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory status, utilizing advanced monitoring systems to detect any changes in a patient's condition.
- Medication and Equipment Management: Accurately administer medications, fluids, and blood products as prescribed by physicians. A critical part of the role involves the precise management of life-support equipment, such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and other specialized devices, ensuring they are functioning correctly and that all parameters are within safe limits.
- Emergency Response: Act as a vital member of the medical team during procedures and emergency situations. This includes preparing necessary equipment, anticipating the needs of the physician, and taking swift, decisive action in codes or other critical events to stabilize patients and ensure a favorable outcome.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system. This involves documenting all assessments, interventions, medication administration, and patient progress to ensure continuity of care and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team.
Required Candidate Profile
- GNM or B.Sc Nursing with a valid Nursing Registration (State or INC).
