Responsibilities
The following will be the major roles & responsibilities to be managed in a city where 24 X 7 water supply is being implemented in a phase wise manner:
- Identification of leaks in pipelines & other appurtenances to mitigate non-revenue water
- Operation & Maintenance activities of existing network
- Sonography & visual techniques to identify leaks and faulty areas in the network
- Preparation of water balance reports and calculation of Unaccounted for Water & Non-revenue water
- Measurement and reporting of flow, pressure and head at Intake, WTP & critical points in the network
- Maintenance of pumps, motors and other equipment in Intake, WTP, Pump houses, & storage reservoirs
- Coordination with Customer Relationship Cell for resolution of customer complaints related to disruption in supply, bad water quality and leaks.
