NodeJs Backend Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with over 6+ years of experience to lead and contribute to the development of scalable backend systems and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate is proficient in Node.js (with NestJS), experienced with PostgreSQL or any relational database, and has a strong command of design patterns. Experience with messaging queues (RabbitMQ preferred), AWS, and CI/CD practices is highly valued. Exposure to frontend technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Architect, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and NestJS.

Design efficient, secure, and scalable relational database schemas using PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

Apply modern software design patterns and best practices to write clean, maintainable code.

Integrate and manage messaging queues, preferably RabbitMQ, for asynchronous communication and event-driven architecture.

Build and deploy applications in cloud environments, preferably AWS, ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience.

Collaborate with DevOps to implement and improve CI/CD pipelines.

Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end features.

Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required Skills:

6+ years of professional software development experience.

Expert-level proficiency in Node.js, with production experience using NestJS framework.

Strong experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MSSQL).

In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and architectural principles.

Hands-on experience with messaging systems, preferably RabbitMQ.

Proven experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).

Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Nice to Have:

Exposure to frontend development using React, Vue, or similar frameworks.

Experience with microservices architecture.

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
