Node Js Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Node.js Developer with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our backend team. The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend services and APIs, integrating with Redis and PostgreSQL databases, and working within a microservice-based architecture using the Fastify framework. Experience with API Gateways, Elastic Logs, and VM-based deployments is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs using Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, Fastify, or Loopback.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Integrate and manage databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB with efficient data modeling.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, etc.).
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to connect UI components with backend logic.
• Set up error handling, logging, and monitoring for production systems.
• Write and maintain unit tests using tools like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
• Work with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for smooth integration and deployment.
• Understand cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices architecture.

Desired Skills/Background

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Node.js development.
• Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with Express.js, NestJS, Fastify, or Loopback.
• Skilled in working with both SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API principles and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI), and Docker.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Lambda, EC2, Cloud Run).
• Experience with testing frameworks and performance optimization techniques.
• Understanding of security best practices in backend development.
• Experience with microservices and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis Pub/Sub).
• Exposure to frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of serverless architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
