Summary: The Associate News Editor should have experience with original and curated news, have incredibly strong news sense, be knowledgeable about business content, be a sharp and quick writer and editor and, most importantly, have an entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate is as interested in shaping a product as shaping a story. He/she will join a dynamic team who's building something brand new in business news and get a fast education in new media platforms and entrepreneurial journalism.
Responsibilities:
Assist in handling relationships with Influencers and publishers to make sure their content is feeding into Pulse
Spot and predict trends important to business content readers and creators
Generate analysis on what&rsquos working and what&rsquos not and come up with ways to increase engagement through content
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS degree
5+ years of journalism experience, including writing and editing
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with original and curated news
Deep knowledge of business news and content
Experience in dealing with Business Leaders
Excellent communication, writing and editing skills
