Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Project Management
- Drive the ideation, planning, and execution of new product launches within specified timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, design, and supply chain, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee the formulation process by working closely with manufacture and ensure product quality, performance, and safety.
- Develop product briefs and manage the approval of prototypes and samples.
Market Research & Trend Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify consumer needs, competitor activities, and emerging trends in the cosmetics industry.
- Utilize insights to propose innovative product ideas and strategies that align with brand identity and market demands.
Packaging Development
- Coordinate with designing and marketing team and suppliers to develop innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.
- Ensure that packaging meets functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure all products comply with local and international cosmetic regulations and certifications.
- Work with the regulatory team to manage product documentation, safety testing, and labelling requirements.
Budget Management & Quality Assurance
- Manage budgets for NPD projects, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Monitor and approve product samples during development stages to ensure they meet quality and brand standards.
- Address and resolve any quality or performance issues during the development process.
Launch Support
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to prepare for product launches, including product positioning, key messaging, and promotional strategies.
- Provide technical and product training to internal stakeholders as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in any field with the relevant experience.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in product development within the cosmetics or personal care industry.
- Expertise in conducting in-depth market research and competitor analysis.
· Ability to analyze consumer behavior and market data to identify trends and emerging opportunities.
· Passion for beauty trends, influencers, and the evolving beauty industry landscape.
· Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, including R&D, design, and marketing.
