Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Neurorehabilitation specialist for a full-time, mid-level position based in Bangalore. The successful candidate will possess 4 to 6 years of relevant experience and play a vital role in the comprehensive care of patients with neurological conditions, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Motor Control (Mandatory skill) with proven expertise in evaluating and enhancing voluntary muscle activity for neurorehabilitation patients
  • Spasticity Management (Mandatory skill) through assessment, intervention planning, and ongoing modification of treatment strategies
  • Tone Assessment (Mandatory skill) with a strong track record of identifying and quantifying abnormal muscle tone for effective intervention
  • Functional Mobility Training, facilitating improved independence in activities of daily living through individualized mobility plans
  • Outcome Measures knowledge, utilizing standardized tools to assess progress and evaluate the efficacy of rehabilitation interventions
  • Gait Analysis skills, performing systematic movement assessments to develop targeted rehabilitation goals for patients
  • Understanding of Neuroplasticity Principles to design therapies that maximize nervous system adaptation and functional recovery
  • Patient Education, effectively communicating complex clinical information and instructing patients and families on home care strategies

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assess patients with neurological impairments and design individualized, evidence-based neurorehabilitation programs
  • Implement and adjust therapeutic strategies focusing on motor control, muscle tone, and spasticity management for optimal recovery
  • Conduct comprehensive tone assessments to monitor patient progress and modify interventions accordingly
  • Provide gait analysis and functional mobility training to enhance mobility and independence in daily activities
  • Utilize standardized outcome measures to evaluate patient progress and report clinical outcomes to the healthcare team
  • Incorporate neuroplasticity principles into all rehabilitation plans to promote long-term patient improvement
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and families about the rehabilitation process and at-home strategies for sustained results
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive and consistent patient care
