About The Opportunity

Healthcare Tertiary care & specialty neurology services in India. We operate an on-site clinical neurology practice delivering comprehensive outpatient, inpatient, emergency stroke, and neurocritical care services across a modern hospital setting. This role is ideal for a clinically-driven neurologist who wants to deliver high-quality patient care, contribute to clinical governance, and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Primary role title: Consultant Neurologist

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care across outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and emergency settings with ownership of neurological diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
  • Lead acute stroke triage and management including eligibility assessment for IV thrombolysis and coordination with interventional teams for thrombectomy pathways.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures including EEG, EMG/NCS, lumbar puncture, and bedside neurological examinations; document findings in the electronic medical record.
  • Manage neurocritical care patients in collaboration with ICU teams; implement evidence-based protocols for monitoring and escalation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and morbidity & mortality reviews to drive clinical governance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, trainees, and allied health staff; contribute to teaching, documentation, and departmental protocols.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Postgraduate qualification in Neurology (MD/DNB or equivalent) with valid Indian medical registration.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in EEG, EMG/NCS interpretation, and performing lumbar punctures.
  • Clinical experience managing acute stroke patients and familiarity with thrombolysis workflows.
  • Experience managing patients in neurocritical care settings and familiarity with ICU monitoring.
  • ACLS certification or equivalent emergency life-support qualification.
  • Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with hospital electronic medical records.

Preferred

  • Fellowship or formal training in stroke, neurocritical care, or epilepsy.
  • Experience with botulinum toxin injections for movement disorders and spasticity management.
  • Track record in teaching, clinical research, or quality-improvement projects within neurology.
