About The Opportunity

A clinical role within the tertiary-care healthcare sector, serving a multi-specialty hospital network in India. We provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurological services, acute stroke care, and multidisciplinary clinical pathways focused on evidence-based outcomes and patient safety.

Position

Consultant Neurologist On-site, India

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist outpatient and inpatient neurology consultations and lead bedside assessments for complex neurological cases.
  • Manage acute stroke patients including rapid evaluation, decision-making for IV thrombolysis, and coordination with endovascular teams and stroke unit workflows.
  • Perform and interpret neurodiagnostic proceduresEEG, EMG/NCSand correlate findings with clinical management plans.
  • Carry out diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as lumbar punctures and supervise neurophysiology testing and reporting.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, tumour boards, and neurorehabilitation planning to optimise continuity of care.
  • Contribute to clinical governance: maintain accurate medical records, participate in audits, and support quality-improvement initiatives and teaching activities.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MBBS with MD/DNB in Neurology (or equivalent) and active registration with the National/State Medical Council.
  • Proven competence in acute stroke management including administration of IV thrombolysis.
  • Hands-on experience with EEG and EMG/NCS interpretation.
  • Skills in neuroimaging interpretation (CT and MRI brain) relevant to clinical decision-making.
  • Competence in performing lumbar puncture and managing cerebrospinal fluid diagnostics.
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and maintain clinical documentation and audit standards.

Preferred

  • Fellowship or additional training in Stroke, Neurocritical Care, or Neuromuscular disorders.
  • Experience with tele-neurology services or EMR/clinical workflow systems.
  • Prior involvement in academic teaching, clinical research or quality-improvement projects.
