Job Description
Join our team as a Network Support Engineer where you'll provide technical support and maintenance for MDU Wi-Fi infrastructure.
Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of networking equipment, servers, and Wi-Fi solutions for large residential and commercial Responsibilities :
- Provide support for configuring and maintaining networking devices such as Cisco routers, Peplink devices, and Ruckus access points.
- Support the setup and management of DHCP and DNS servers to handle large-scale networks.
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi and networking issues, from connectivity problems to server-related concerns.
- Manage and monitor Wi-Fi network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios.
- Assist with cloud-based management of network infrastructure, such as Peplinks InControl or Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi.
- Ensure that network security measures are in place, including configuring VPNs, VLANs, and secure Wi-Fi access protocols.
- Update firmware and software for networking equipment, ensuring security patches are applied promptly.
- Use ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow) for logging and tracking network incidents, service requests, and :
- 1-3 years of experience in network support or administration, particularly with Cisco, Peplink, and Ruckus equipment.
- Experience working with DHCP, DNS, and AAA services.
- Familiarity with cloud management platforms and Wi-Fi controllers.
- Knowledge of basic server management, both Windows and Linux.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with network performance and Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
- Experience with Wi-Fi security and optimization, including WPA3 and 802.1X authentication.
