Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, security, and switching issues reported by Cisco Meraki customers and partners.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers/switches, Ubiquity routers / controllers / switches / APs , SonicWall firewalls, and Windows/Linux servers.
  • Manage Active Directory, file replication server, and monitor network performance.
  • Attend networking events to maintain a high social quotient.
  • Design and implement new solutions to improve the resilience of the current network environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or similar field of study with a focus on network engineering.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience as a Network Support Engineer with expertise in wide area network (WAN) and administering Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Unity Connection.
  • Skills in L2VPN, EDR, and GIAC certification as an ISO-17799 specialist.
  • Experience supporting and testing LANs, VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, and/or DHCP servers.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, VLANs, VoIP, AAA/TACACS, EIGRP, and Cisco ACLs.
  • Relevant certifications from Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, HP, Cisco, or EMC are preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of networking and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud, distributed systems, databases, and networking protocols.
  • Ability to articulate technical matters clearly and concisely to third parties.
  • Experience with monitoring network performance and making necessary adjustments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of C/C++, Linux OS, embedded systems development, JavaScript, Node JS, and routing protocols.
  • Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CEH, etc.
  • Prior experience with packet generators, Ethernet, WiFi, IoT, DSL, PON, and VPN technologies.

Desired Skills:

  • Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco VoIP phone systems.
  • Managing network security with devices like Cisco ASAs, SSL VPNs, etc.
  • Conducting wireless surveys and working with wireless networking technologies.
  • Creating and documenting engineering network interoperability test plans.

  • Ability to collaborate with team members to resolve network outages and complex issues efficiently.
