About The Role

The Network Security Analyst develops and delivers solutions that protect enterprise systems, applications.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network and server infrastructure using NMS tools (SNMP, ThousandEyes, Kentik)
  • Perform initial alert triage, validation, and escalation per runbooks
  • Monitor network devices, firewalls, IDS, and virtualization platforms
  • Track health of WAN, SD WAN (Silver Peak), and cloud connectivity
  • Firewall rule implementation
  • Participate in periodic SOC and client driven security audits
  • Perform device onboarding and basic configuration validation
  • Assist with IP Address Management (IPAM) updates
  • Execute standard changes and maintenance activities under supervision
  • Validate config backups and document completion
  • Update CMDB records accurately and consistently
  • Perform basic CLI troubleshooting on network and firewall devices
  • Assist with routing/switching issues in Juniper and Aruba environments
  • Review logs and assist with log interpretation
  • Support packet capture requests with senior team guidance
  • Participate in cloud security strategy, readiness, and discovery assessments; be familiar with cloud security frameworks, compliance requirements and security operations
  • Deliver on project deliverables and services that meet Program requirements
  • Ability to take initiative to communicate, interact, and collaborate with others to ensure that all aspects of a task are addressed.
  • Respond to incident escalation and own Problem management resolution (includes on-call)
  • Assist in Change and Incident management
  • Monitor, analyze and remediate vulnerabilities and findings
  • Manage and adhere to security compliance policies
  • Work with technical and business units across the organization as an operational reference point, offering advice, support and guidance on network issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum 3-5 years equivalent Work Experience
  • Knowledge of SNMP, NetFlow, telemetry concepts
  • Basic understanding of routing and switching concepts
  • Familiarity with Juniper or Aruba switching (academic or hands on)
  • Understanding of firewalls and network security fundamentals
  • Exposure to cloud basics (AWS/Azure/GCP concepts)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts
  • Basic troubleshooting of Linux and/or Windows Server operating system.
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills to support project level work with moderate oversight/guidance
