Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Network Routing (WAN) Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-wide WAN and routing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in routing protocols, WAN technologies, SD-WAN solutions, and network performance optimization across global environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise WAN infrastructure.
- Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
- Configure and manage routers from vendors such as Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, and Arista Networks.
- Deploy and support SD-WAN solutions (e.g., VMware SD-WAN / VeloCloud, Fortinet, Cisco Systems SD-WAN).
- Manage MPLS, leased lines, broadband, and DIA circuits.
- Monitor WAN performance, latency, jitter, and packet loss.
- Perform capacity planning and network optimization.
- Configure and troubleshoot IPsec VPN and GRE tunnels.
- Work with ISPs for circuit provisioning and incident resolution.
- Maintain high availability using redundancy technologies (HSRP, VRRP).
- Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 815+ years of hands-on experience in WAN routing and enterprise networking.
- Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP, subnetting, CIDR
- Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- MPLS and Layer 2/Layer 3 VPNs
- SD-WAN architecture
- Experience with router configuration and CLI troubleshooting.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
Preferred Certifications
- CCNP Enterprise / CCNP Service Provider
- JNCIP-ENT
- CCIE (Routing & Switching / Enterprise Infrastructure)
- Fortinet NSE (SD-WAN track)
Technical Skills
