Main Goal

Within the responsible area, execute & monitor the allocated production orders as per CMP release to secure the timely availability of the requested quantity and quality with effective mobilization of resources and manpower. Ensure to take all precautionary measure to control/ or avoid the environmental pollution and Hygiene implementation to produce disease free seeds

Job Description



  • Advise the Production Team Coordinator on the produce-ability of the new varieties to be introduced in the companies commercial portfolio to ensure seed availability of new products.
  • Advise the Production Team Coordinator on the possibilities to execute planned volumes in the area responsible for to ensure a reliable seed supply.
  • Based on the needs from the Regional Production director - Asia and Production Team Coordinator maintain/adapt the local production infrastructure utilizing own farms/facilities to ensure efficiency, reliability and quality of the seed produced.
  • Advice the Production Team Coordinator and Regional Production director - Asia regarding acceptance and/or rejection of lots delivered to ensure the highest quality seed supply.
  • Advise on the production locations within their responsible region to ensure a quality and reliable seed supply.
  • Plan and coordinate the work of the Deputy NW Manager, Production Officer and supervisors within responsible area.
  • Define and implement a reporting structure, maintain all records.
  • Identify production related problems and communicate to LD officer to design and conduct production research for advising possible solutions.
  • Ensure that seed lots are cleaned to the required specifications and treated in such a manner as to conserve their maximal potential (germination and vigor).
  • Ensure the effective management production fields with proper hygiene implementation to supply the disease free and healthy seeds
  • Strengthen the monitoring activities to ensure effective IPR implementation
  • Effective implementation of Hygiene practice to avoid the dangerous seed borne diseases.
  • Knowledge of the crop, growing practices within assigned area and grower base
    • Five years experience in seed production, preferably direct production with grower will be added advantage
    • Familiarity with production research practices and field plot techniques is strongly preferred
    • Ability to synchronize the need of the company with the needs and demands of the contracted internal customer
    • Leadership skills, Team player; good communication skills work and motivate well with others (social versatility)
    • Strong command of the English language and fluency in local language (Kannada)
    • Computer competent; Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT,
    • Should possess the competencies like: Managerial, Analyzing, and Performance, Reporting and Budgetary planning
