Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Network Firewall Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing enterprise firewall and network security solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in firewall administration, network security architecture, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage enterprise firewall solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco Systems, Check Point Software Technologies).
- Implement and maintain network security policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and ACLs.
- Monitor firewall logs, analyze security events, and respond to incidents.
- Conduct firewall rule reviews and security audits.
- Manage IDS/IPS systems and integrate them with firewalls.
- Configure site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions.
- Perform firmware upgrades and patch management.
- Collaborate with network, cloud, and security teams for infrastructure hardening.
- Support compliance requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, etc.).
- Create technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 38+ years of hands-on experience in firewall and network security engineering.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, and subnetting.
- Experience with:
- Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
- VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL)
- IDS/IPS
- Network segmentation and Zero Trust concepts
- Familiarity with cloud firewalls (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with SIEM tools and log analysis.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

- CCNP Security (Cisco)
