Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated
L1 Network Engineer to join our Telecom operations team in
Manesar, Gurgaon. This is an excellent opportunity for CCNA-certified candidates with a minimum of 6 months hands-on experience in
network monitoring, troubleshooting, and support.
The role will focus on providing
first-level support for network infrastructure, ensuring uptime, and escalating issues to L2/L3 teams as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain telecom network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting of network issues (LAN, WAN, IP, VPN).
- Support day-to-day operations and incident management in line with SLAs.
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 engineers or vendor support.
- Document network events, incidents, and resolutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for service restoration.
- Provide support during network upgrades, patching, and maintenance windows.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and network policies.
Mandatory Skills- CCNA certification (or equivalent knowledge).
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in networking (telecom environment preferred).
- Good understanding of:
- Routing & Switching concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP basics).
- LAN/WAN technologies.
- Network troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark).
- Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 shift environment (rotational shifts including night shifts).
Desired Skills
- Exposure to NOC/SOC operations.
- Knowledge of telecom domain networks (MPLS, LTE/5G, VoIP).
- Basic knowledge of firewalls and security appliances.
