In this role, you will help ensure the stability, security, and scalability of mission-critical networks while collaborating closely with cloud, DevOps, and IT operations teams. You'll be responsible for designing, configuring, monitoring, and optimizing modern networking systems, contributing directly to operational reliability and business continuity. The position offers exposure to hybrid cloud networking, advanced security initiatives, and large-scale infrastructure projects. Accountabilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Support LAN, WAN, wireless, and hybrid cloud networking environments while ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Monitor network performance using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve connectivity, latency, and routing issues.
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewall policies, ACLs, VPN security, intrusion prevention systems, and Zero Trust networking strategies.
- Participate in firmware upgrades, device patching, hardware lifecycle management, and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, support on-call operations, and contribute to improving system resiliency and uptime.
- Maintain accurate network documentation including topology diagrams, runbooks, configuration records, and change management logs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud networking initiatives, office expansions, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or enterprise infrastructure support.
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPN technologies, VLANs, and enterprise network architecture.
- Solid understanding of routing protocols including OSPF and BGP.
- Experience working with enterprise networking hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or Fortinet devices.
- Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix, Wireshark, or TCPdump.
- Understanding of network security principles, compliance frameworks, and infrastructure reliability best practices.
- Experience with hybrid cloud networking environments including AWS VPCs, Azure VNets, or GCP networking is a plus.
- Knowledge of automation or Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform is advantageous.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting abilities, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, or Fortinet certifications are highly valued.
