Job description

As a Network Engineer at Hitachi, Ltd., you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and secure network infrastructures to support our global operations and innovative solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring network reliability, performance, and scalability.

Job Responsibilities:..

. Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network environments, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud-based networks.
. Implement and manage network security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).
. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network configurations for maximum efficiency and uptime.
. Perform routine network maintenance, upgrades, and patch management.
. Respond to and resolve network incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective network solutions.
. Document network topologies, configurations, and operational procedures.
. Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to enhance capabilities and reduce costs.
. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.

Job Qualifications:..

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
. 4+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
. Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and network services (DNS, DHCP).
. Proficiency with network hardware from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
. Experience with network security principles and technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
. Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS-SP) are highly desirable.
. Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting) is a plus.
