About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team at our Navi Mumbai office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless, secure, and reliable data flow across all organizational operations. This role requires a proactive approach to network management, troubleshooting, and optimization, working closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives. The Network Engineer will play a critical role in safeguarding our network environment against cyber threats while ensuring high performance and scalability to accommodate future growth.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in network engineering or a similar role. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable. Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, firewall configurations, and security best practices is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are key attributes for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The Network Engineer will be responsible for a broad range of tasks to ensure the integrity and security of the organization's network infrastructure:
- Network Design and Implementation: Develop and deploy scalable LAN, WAN, and other network segments aligned with business needs and industry standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective network solutions.
- Network Device Configuration: Configure, manage, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points to support secure and efficient data transmission.
- Network Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor network performance using advanced tools, identify bottlenecks or issues, and implement improvements to maximize efficiency and uptime.
- Network Security: Implement security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs to protect the network from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network problems promptly to minimize downtime, including connectivity issues, hardware failures, or performance degradation.
- Network Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and future upgrades.
- Network Upgrades and Migrations: Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal impact on daily operations, ensuring continuous business support.
- Network Performance Analysis: Analyze traffic patterns and trends to optimize network capacity planning and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Network Policy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a compliant network environment.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and support services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and application teams to support their network-related needs and project initiatives, fostering a collaborative environment.
