About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer (L2) with strong expertise in cloud networking—especially within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and highly available cloud network architectures across multi‑region environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructure in AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 networking protocols such as VLANs, STP, inter‑VLAN routing, OSPF, BGP, and static routing.
- Manage WAN connectivity, including IPSec VPN, MPLS, and leased line configurations.
- Configure and maintain AWS networking services: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, NAT Gateway, Transit Gateway, etc.
- Configure Azure networking components including VNet, NSG, UDR, Azure Firewall, and ExpressRoute.
- Design secure hybrid connectivity solutions between cloud and on‑premises environments (IPSec VPN / ExpressRoute / Direct Connect).
- Implement and manage cloud network security, segmentation, and compliance controls.
- Monitor network performance, optimize cost, and ensure high availability across cloud environments.
- Support multi-region deployments and highly available cloud architectures.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for cloud network incidents and complex troubleshooting.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Deploy and manage load balancing solutions such as ALB/NLB (AWS) and Azure Load Balancer/Application Gateway.
- Maintain detailed documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and configuration standards.
- Support cloud migration, transformation, and modernization initiatives.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Basic exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.
- Ability to collaborate with Security, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams for seamless cloud operations.
