Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Network Engineer with expertise in Aruba and Juniper networking solutions to provide onsite manpower support as a resident engineer at our client site in Hyderabad. The selected candidate will be responsible for network monitoring, administration, and security device management, ensuring the optimal performance and availability of all network infrastructure.

Mandatory Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or Computer Science Engineering (CSE) from a recognized educational institute

Experience:

• Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience in network administration and support
• Hands-on experience with Aruba networking products (switches, wireless controllers, access points)
• Hands-on experience with Juniper networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls)

Certifications (Mandatory):

• Valid CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification or equivalent networking certification
• Aruba certification (ACSA/ACMA/ACMP) OR Juniper certification (JNCIA/JNCIS or higher) - Required

Key Responsibilities

Network Monitoring & Management

• Conduct daily monitoring of the health status of all network devices including Aruba switches, Juniper switches/routers, and other network appliances
• Monitor network connectivity and performance across Aruba and Juniper infrastructure
• Ensure optimal network uptime and performance through proactive monitoring
• Perform continuous monitoring of network logs and system alerts from Aruba and Juniper devices

Network Configuration & Administration

• Configure and reconfigure Aruba switches, wireless controllers, and access points
• Configure and manage Juniper switches, routers, and network devices
• Configure and manage NGFW (Next-Generation Firewall), WAF (Web Application Firewall), AAA servers, and EMS (Element Management System)
• Implement VLANs, routing protocols, and network segmentation on Aruba and Juniper platforms
• Take regular configuration backups for all network and security devices
• Maintain accurate network configuration documentation and topology diagrams

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues on Aruba and Juniper equipment
• Diagnose and fix performance issues related to Aruba wireless infrastructure
• Troubleshoot routing and switching issues on Juniper devices
• Address security incidents affecting network operations
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in network and security devices
• Apply software patches, firmware updates, and JunOS/ArubaOS upgrades to all network devices
• Log support calls with Aruba, Juniper, and other OEMs for hardware repairs and faulty component replacement
• Coordinate with vendors for RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes and technical support escalations

Network Operations & Maintenance

• Maintain network logs and system logs from Aruba ClearPass, Juniper devices, and other systems in accordance with operational requirements
• Ensure proper log retention as per cybersecurity and compliance standards
• Move log backups to designated storage systems as needed
• Generate network performance reports and status updates
• Provide timely alerts and notifications to management regarding network issues and critical alarms

Backup & Documentation

• Take regular configuration backups of all Aruba and Juniper devices
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network changes, incidents, and resolutions
• Document standard operating procedures for Aruba and Juniper network operations

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Aruba switching and wireless solutions
• Proficiency in Juniper Networks equipment including JunOS configuration and management
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, LACP, etc.)
• Experience with Aruba ClearPass for network access control and AAA services
• Knowledge of Juniper EX/QFX series switches and SRX series firewalls
• Familiarity with Aruba AirWave or Central for wireless network management
• Experience with Aruba Mobility Controllers and Instant Access Points
• Understanding of Juniper Space and network management tools
• Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls (NGFW), WAF, and network security devices
• Experience with network monitoring tools and log management systems
• Understanding of network troubleshooting methodologies and diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with patch management and firmware upgrade processes
• Experience with network backup solutions and configuration management

Preferred Qualifications

• Both Aruba and Juniper certifications (holding certifications from both vendors is highly desirable)
• Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP)
• Juniper Networks Certified Specialist (JNCIS) or higher level certifications
• Experience with Aruba Fabric Composer (AFC) or Virtual Switching Framework (VSF)
• Knowledge of Juniper Virtual Chassis and EVPN-VXLAN architectures
• Experience with SD-WAN solutions from Aruba or Juniper
• Experience working in large enterprise or data center environments

Working Conditions

• This is an onsite position requiring daily presence at the client location in Hyderabad
• Regular day shift operations (Monday to Friday)
• May require occasional extended hours during network maintenance windows or critical incidents
• Direct coordination with client IT teams and external vendors (Aruba, Juniper, etc.)
