Role Summary
The Senior Network Consultant acts as the final point of escalation for enterprise network issues and contributes to architecture, optimization, and lifecycle management of multi-client environments built on Cisco and Fortinet technologies. The role blends deep hands-on troubleshooting with design ownership, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across routing, switching, firewall, and wireless infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, validate, and optimize enterprise network architectures that ensure scalability and resilience.
- Serve as Tier-3 SME, performing advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and configuration remediation.
- Manage and enhance Cisco and Fortinet environments (Routing / Switching / Firewall / Wireless - Cisco WLC / Ruckus).
- Implement routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and secure VPN solutions.
- Oversee firmware and configuration lifecycle management; maintain change and compliance controls.
- Use observability tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, NetBrain) for monitoring and performance optimization.
- Support Tier-1 / Tier-2 engineers and collaborate with global teams on MBR/QBR reviews and CAB updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 7 + years of enterprise or service-provider network engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in Cisco R&S, Fortinet firewalls, and wireless.
- Certifications: CCNP (required); Fortinet NSE 4 (preferred).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and client-interaction skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple client environments from office location in rotational shifts
