Role & responsibilities
- Advanced experience in handling a wide array of Cisco platforms like Switches, WLAN controllers & Routers.
- Excellent understanding in data communications such as TCP and IP protocol stack and applications.
- Good understanding of Switching concepts, STP, Port channel, Stacking, VTP, POE environment, 9300, 9500, 3850 catalysts.
- Good understanding of Routing concepts, BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN and VRF.
- Good understanding of Cisco WLC 8500, 9800 as well as 3800, 3700 series access points.
- Switching: Expertise on VLAN, RSTP, MST, VSS, Ether channels, HSRP, GLBP etc.
- Routing: Expertise on protocols like RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
- Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, LAN/WAN network design, TCP/IP, network problem resolution including packet capture analysis.
- Knowledge of Cisco Data Centre Architecture including Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K and IP Services.
- Knowledge on OSPF, BGP, EVPN and Vxlan required.
- Good understanding of Cisco Nexus series devices.
- Proficient in network switches and switching protocols.
- Experience on Cisco switch Implementations & Troubleshooting.
- Administration of Cisco Switches (38XX, 45xx, 93XX, 94XX and 95XX series)
- Implementation of HSRP, Ether-Channel, VLAN and VTP
- Implementation of Trunking, Spanning tree and Access lists
- Knowledge of LAN Topology and Cabling Standards.
- Strong oral & written communication skills.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically.
- Ability to solve and identify root cause.
- Should be flexible and adaptable to new technologies.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues in a multi-tiered environment.
- Implementation knowledge on Intranet and internet configuration and troubleshooting in IPV6 and IPV4.
- Experience on static and dynamic routing on IPV6 and IPV4.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective verbal, listening and documentation skills in the English language.
- Ability to function under a pressure and make quick and accurate decision.
- Documentation, Network diagram and updates on the tickets.
- Experience in DC deployment/troubleshooting. CCNA/CCNP in DC is preferred.
- Experience on Citrix Netscalar Load Balancer & Cisco ACI will be preferred.
