Job Description

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test strategies to ensure high-quality network automation software.
  • Understand newly developed features by reviewing design specifications and engaging with development and PLM teams for functional clarity.
  • Create, review, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and regression suites within defined timelines.
  • Identify, analyze, and debug software defects by reviewing logs and system behavior to determine root causes.
  • Raise, track, and manage defects using JIRA, working closely with development teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
  • Validate network automation features across Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies using traffic generation tools.
  • Proactively recommend product improvements and enhancements based on validation findings.
  • Participate in QA reviews, sprint discussions, and status updates to ensure timely delivery of quality releases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on networking products.
  • Strong understanding of Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP.
  • Hands-on experience with Layer 2 technologies including VLAN, DHCP, STP, and VXLAN.
  • Strong programming and automation skills using Python and Robot Framework.
  • Experience using traffic generation and network testing tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to advanced networking technologies such as MPLS, LDP, RSVP, L2VPN, L3VPN, or Segment Routing.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and using JIRA for defect tracking.
  • Familiarity with API-driven and UI-based testing methodologies.
  • Networking certifications from Juniper or Cisco.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based networking environments.
