YOUR TASKS
- Develop and implement automation workflows to streamline network operations and processes.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and network architecture standards.
- Perform rigorous testing of automation scripts and tools in a lab environment before deployment in production to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Develop custom scripts to automate data collection for network performance monitoring and generate reports for analysis by the network operations team.
- Integrate, manage and/or create databases to store and retrieve network automation data efficiently, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Implement security practices within automation workflows to safeguard network data and infrastructure from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within automated processes, applying debugging tools and techniques to ensure minimal disruption to network services.
- Document automation processes, including code comments, user manuals, and operational procedures, to ensure knowledge transfer and adherence to best practices within the team.
- Manage and maintain the network automation infrastructure, including version control systems and automation servers, to ensure high availability and performance.
Your Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, bash, shell is essential for writing automation scripts.
- Scripting and Automation Tools: Knowledge of scripting and network automation tools like Ansible, Netmiko and others to automate repetitive tasks and orchestrate complex network operations.
- REST APIs: Understanding of RESTful APIs and webhooks to interact with network devices and services programmatically.
- Networking Fundamentals: A solid understanding of networking concepts, devices, protocols, and architecture is crucial.
- Database Management: Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git & GitHub to manage changes to code and collaborate with other team members.
- Continuous Learning: Keeping up to date with the latest network technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications in programming languages and development methodologies are beneficial.
