Location: Bengaluru

Experience level: 3-5 years only

Installation and configuration: Setting up and configuring network hardware like routers, switches, and wireless access points, as well as network software.

• Maintenance and upgrades: Performing regular maintenance, applying firmware patches, and upgrading hardware and software to optimize performance and security.

• Monitoring and troubleshooting: Monitoring network performance, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues, and responding to alerts or outages.

• Security: Implementing and enforcing network security protocols, managing user access, and ensuring the network is protected from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

• Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of network diagrams, IP address usage, configurations, and change logs.

• Support: Providing technical support to users for network-related problems and acting as an escalation point for helpdesk tickets.

• Disaster recovery: Implementing backup solutions and developing/testing disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime.

• Firewall configuration: Installing, configuring, and managing firewall systems to control incoming and outgoing network traffic.

• Traffic management: Enforcing traffic patterns and policies through the firewall to prevent unauthorized access and malicious activity.

• Security monitoring: Monitoring firewall logs for suspicious activity and responding to security alerts.

• Security audits: Conducting periodic vulnerability assessments and audits to ensure the firewall is operating effectively and to identify and mitigate risks.

• Intrusion prevention: Configuring and maintaining intrusion detection and prevention systems as part of a comprehensive security strategy.
