Job Overview

The Nephrologist role at Spandana Hospital is a full-time, mid-level position based in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will bring 4 to 6 years of clinical experience in nephrology to provide comprehensive renal care, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and ensure optimal outcomes for patients with various kidney-related conditions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong expertise in patient management with excellent ability to assess, monitor, and coordinate comprehensive care for renal patients (Mandatory skill).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in peritoneal dialysis procedures, including troubleshooting and patient education (Mandatory skill).
  • Extensive experience performing renal biopsy safely, interpreting results, and utilizing findings in treatment planning (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficient in the management and supervision of hemodialysis treatments, including monitoring machine parameters and patient response.
  • Thorough understanding and clinical experience in diagnosing and managing chronic kidney disease, from early detection to advanced stages.
  • Well-versed in acute kidney injury management, with proven ability to implement interventions that minimize complications and promote recovery.
  • Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating various glomerular diseases with evidence-based approaches for both acute and chronic cases.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling productive collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families for tailored treatment plans.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with acute and chronic kidney disorders, providing individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform, supervise, and interpret results of peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, and renal biopsies as part of comprehensive renal care.
  • Manage patients with chronic kidney disease and acute kidney injury, including long-term follow-up and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care for complex glomerular diseases and related conditions.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-management strategies, and treatment options to enhance compliance and outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, maintenance of medical records, and adherence to best practices for infection control and patient safety.
  • Participate in hospital rounds, case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities to maintain clinical excellence.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, foster a culture of learning, and contribute to the hospitals mission for outstanding patient care.
